MPH Bookstores, a major retail bookstore chain opened its largest bookstore in Malaysia in Mid Valley Megamall on 29 March 2000. Spanning 36,000 sq ft, MPH is located on the ground floor of Mid Valley Megamall, Malaysia's largest retail centre.

Malaysia is growing and its people are becoming more discerning readers, both young and old, who will require leisure resources for both business and personal developments. In line with our Prime Minister's 2020 Vision, there is increased demand for knowledge and education. Books are one of the ideal products to provide essential information to enhance these skills. At MPH we have taken the initiative to begin a revolution and provide this unique experience in Malaysia.

Mid Valley Megamall was chosen for MPH's largest store because timing was favourable and Mid Valley Megamall could also accommodate us. In fact many of the major tenants have opened their larger stores here. MPH is one of the major tenants of Mid Valley Megamall.

Customers will be awed by the many facets of literary sources available. MPH Bookstores aims to be an enthusiastic friend taking you along a warm, friendly experience of browsing for books and shopping for what you need.

The new MPH will be unlike any other bookstores in Malaysia. The uniqueness of this store lies in the following features:-

1. Diverse Topics
   A comprehensive collection of books is available to cater to the needs of customers. You will find topics as diverse as horticulture, psychology, life science, performing arts, literary criticism, and more. We are the leading bookstore of international status on Malaysian shores.
2. Self-service Search
   MPH Mid Valley is equipped with PCs at strategic locations around the store for book aficionados' convenience. Customers can search for books either by title, author or ISBN and can locate them in the store as they are arranged according to sections. This will be a boon for customers who want to save time.
3. Customer Care
   For customers who require assistance, there are service desks at various locations around the store to serve them with pleasant smiles and cheerful dispositions. Customers can make use of our customer care centre for their added convenience. Among the services offered are: special orders, gift wrapping, delivery to your doorstep, assistance to set up your home library, and large orders for institutions or companies.
4. Professional Enclave
   We call our professional book section an enclave because that's just what it is. An enclosed, private section with chairs to provide comfort and a better frame of mind for those intending to enhance their managerial, IT, business or professional skills. Customers can sit and browse at leisure before making their choice. There are 'Surf Stations' here, where computers equipped with Internet access is available, for a small fee to our customers as an additional resource.
5. Centre Courtyard
   Definitely a centre of attraction with its garden-like setting. Customers can just sit on the benches to rest their tired feet while enjoying the ambience of the store as they escape into a realm where they are surrounded by knowledge. You're in book haven!
6. KidZone
   The cultivation of good reading habits begin at a young age and with this in mind, we have planned a spectacular array of choices for them. We have housed a wealth of knowledge for the children; the future bearers of this nation with the hope that it will quench their quest for knowledge and inquisitive minds. We have not only placed the development of children in books, but we also feel that their creativity and social skills need to be honed. MPH Mid Valley has an event area and stage where the kids can enjoy shows, performances, workshops, and the like.
7. MRC Lounge
   MPH Reader's Circle members can utilise the exclusive MRC lounge to sit, relax, and browse through books before deciding on their purchase. They can also check on their accumulated points and get information on the latest activities and promotions held. This will also be a great place for meeting old friends and making new ones.
8. Cafe
   Our café, 'The Book Café' is for customers to enjoy a cuppa with cakes or pastries while reading.
9. Music Section
   The serious music audiophile and also off mainstream music lovers - if you feel that there has been a dearth of selection for you, fret no more as MPH Mid Valley has you in mind. We will have an alternative collection of music like 'Inspiration' to lift you up or 'Asian music' when you're in the mood for something exotic. Besides that, there's also 'New Age music' to sooth the raw edges after a long day at work or maybe some country and 'Country & Western' will make you nostalgic.
